Will & LPA Check UK is an independent information and enquiry service for people in England & Wales. We provide a free informational check and, where you ask us to, we pass your enquiry to an estate-planning provider who can discuss your options with you.
2. We are not a law firm and this is not legal advice
We are not solicitors, and nothing on this website is legal advice. The information here is general, does not take account of your personal circumstances, and should not be relied on as advice.
3. What the free check is — and is not
The check analyses only the answers you provide. It does not search the Office of the Public Guardian, any government database, any Will registry or any other external record. A result saying your arrangements "couldn't be confirmed" means only that they cannot be verified from the answers you gave us — it is not a statement that any document does or does not exist.
Your result is an informational summary, not a legal opinion, and not a recommendation to buy any particular product or service.
4. Who can use this service
You must be 18 or over. The information relates to the law of England & Wales. Scotland and Northern Ireland have different systems and different documents.
5. The information you give us
You agree that the information you give us is accurate, that it is your own information (or that you have authority to provide it), and that the number you give us is one on which you are happy to be contacted about this enquiry.
6. Enquiries passed to providers
Where you agree, we pass your enquiry to an appropriate estate-planning provider. That provider is a separate business, responsible for its own advice, services, prices and terms. We do not provide estate-planning services ourselves and are not responsible for the advice or services a provider gives you. You are under no obligation to proceed.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the site available but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change or withdraw any part of it.
8. Our responsibility to you
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on general information published on this site.
9. Intellectual property
The content, design and branding of this website belong to us or our licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission.
10. Law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have jurisdiction.
